created by risa on 22 Sep 2015

16 feb 2016 - 19 feb 2016

University of Regensburg

The scope of this winter school is to bring together researchers working on geometric evolution equations. The presentations will cover topics on

- Geometric evolution equations, in particular the mean curvature driven flows like mean curvature flow, Gauss curvature flow and Ricci flow.

- Singularities and surgery in curvature flows.

- Multi-point maximum principles and variational methods.

The school will start on Tuesday, February 16, 9am, and will end on Friday, February 19, in the early afternoon. All lectures will be held in the Mathematics Building on the main Campus of the University of Regensburg. There will be three lecture series consisting of four 90 min. lectures and additional question hours. Moreover, there will be a poster session.

Organizers: Helmut Abels, Georg Dolzmann, Harald Garcke.

Speakers: Ben Andrews, Gerhard Huisken, Carlo Mantegazza.
