Dear colleagues, with this message I would like to announce that the Department of Mathematics of VU University Amsterdam welcomes applications for the position of a
PHD STUDENT ON THE SUBJECT "INFINITE-DIMENSIONAL SYMPLECTIC GEOMETRY" The tentative goal of the PhD project is to generalize the ground-breaking pseudoholomorphic curve methods from finite-dimensional symplectic geometry to the infinite-dimensional setting in order to prove new fundamental results in Hamiltonian field theory.
