A one-year postdoc position in algebraic geometry, with the possibility of renewal for a second year, is available in Naples, at the Federico II university. The position is open to any researcher in algebraic or arithmetic geometry who has a Phd or will get theirs by September 25. The deadline is on July 19 at 10:00.
The net monthly salary will be about 1400 euros, and travel funding (about 4000 euros) will also be available with the position. There is no teaching load attached to the position.
We are especially (but not exclusively) interested in applicants whose research topics include or connect to moduli spaces, geometric invariant theory, algebraic stacks, étale or motivic cohomology, Chow groups, Brauer groups, classifying spaces, motivic classes and invariants, (stable) rationality.
The position is funded through the PRIN project “Derived and underived stacks and their applications”, PI Angelo Vistoli, and will be supervised by the project's local coordinator Roberto Pirisi.
