Dear Colleagues,
2 positions as a tenure-track assistant professor (Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato di Tipo B) at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Pisa are now open.
The first position is in the area of Geometry, considered in a broad sense, including algebraic, arithmetic, differential, complex analytic geometry, geometric representation theory, topology, dynamical systems, etc: you may find the description of the research directions of the geometry group at https://www.dm.unipi.it/research/geometry/
The second position is in the area of Algebra/Number Theory, considered in a broad sense, including Lie theory, algebraic combinatorics, geometric representation theory, number theory, etc: you may find the description of the research directions of the algebra/number theory group at https://www.dm.unipi.it/research/algebra/
The deadline to apply for both positions is March 31, 2023 (1 pm CEST).

These positions last three years. The teaching load is around 80 hours/year.
At the end of these positions, one goes through a tenure review: provided that the Italian Scientific Qualification (https://abilitazione.miur.it/public/index.php?lang=eng) has been obtained before the review, one should get a permanent position as an associate professor.
