We are happy to announce that we are hiring an Associate Professor (full-time, tenured) in Geometry/Topology at the University of Oslo in Norway. The application deadline is February 24th, and the official announcement is at the link below
https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/238515/associate-professor-in-geometry-and-topology
from which I quote:
"The section is seeking a highly dedicated and innovative researcher with the necessary qualifications for an associate professorship, specifically in the fields of geometry and topology (including algebraic topology, geometric topology, algebraic K-theory, motivic homotopy theory, differential geometry, and Floer homology)"
and
"The Associate Professor will have the opportunity to apply for promotion to a full professorship at a later stage."
The current faculty in the geometry/topology group are Kim Frøyshov, Paul Arne Østvær (in a part-time position) and John Rognes. The Mathematics Department also has active research groups in algebraic geometry, operator algebras, several complex variables and partial differential equations. We share research interests with many other departments in Scandinavia and elsewhere.
