Dear all,
this is a first announcement of a
Call for one position at Roma "Sapienza" as associate professor in geometry
The official call will be opened during 2023 and will have the following features.
Position name: Professore Associato (="Associate Professor”).
Institution: Dipartimento di Matematica “Guido Castelnuovo”, SAPIENZA Università di Roma, link: https://www.mat.uniroma1.it/
Field: Geometry.
Duration: permanent position.
Teaching load: about 120 (most classes are in Italian, but a few are in English).
Environment: Roma has three major Mathematics departments, each of which has a conspicuous and very active research group in geometry.
Net salary: roughly 31500 EUR per year NET
Benefits: national health insurance, pension contributions and retirement settlement are included
Tax reduction: there is a huge tax reduction (whose final practical effect is to increase your above-mentioned net salary by about 50%) for a period of (at least) 4 years for researchers and professors moving their residence to Italy from abroad. You can find all information by clicking here:

Required qualification: ASN “Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale” (=National Scientific Qualification) as Professore Associato, see https://abilitazione.miur.it/public/index.php

1) Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale must be obtained before the closure of the official call.
2) The latest deadline to apply in order to obtain the Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale is February 6th, 2023, 3:00pm (CET).
