BRIDGES is a Brazil-France collaboration in Geometry, aiming to advance the understanding of special geometric structures on manifolds and their moduli spaces, with special focus on CR, Sasaki, Kähler, G2 and Spin(7), and conformal geometries, gauge theory, sheaves on threefolds and Bridgeland stability. The main institutions involved are Unicamp in Brazil and the Universities of Lyon 1, Paris-Saclay and Brest in France.

The BRIDGES collaboration is offering several postdoctoral positions, based in Brazil or France, with flexible start in 2023.

Postdoctoral positions in BRAZIL

Profile: Young researcher obtaining or having obtained a PhD in mathematics between January/2015 and September/2023, working in a domain connected with G2 and Spin(7) geometries, gauge theory, moduli spaces of sheaves on threefolds and Bridgeland stability, see https://www.math.univ-toulouse.fr/~elegendr/grants.html
Location: University of Campinas (Unicamp).
Contract: Post-doctoral position financed by ANR–FAPESP PRCI collaboration project "BRIDGES". This is a research-only position, with no teaching or admin duties.
Duration : 24 to 48 months.
Starting date : Flexible, no later than December 31, 2023. Salary: R$8479,20//month (U$1620, PPP equiv. to U$3300, tax-free). Other benefits: approx. U$3000/year for research and travel expenses; start-up travel costs and one extra pay; p/maternity leave; paid leave of up to 12 months to visit any research institution in the World (pending approval by FAPESP).
