Dear colleagues,
the PhD Program in Mathematics of Universidad de Concepción (Concepción, Chile) opened its applications for the first semester 2023 (starting in March 2023). The research areas of the program are:
Analysis: Non-Archimedean Functional Analysis, Stochastic Analysis, Calculus of variations and PDE’s, Evolution equations, Integral equations, Optimization, continuous Dynamical Systems.
Geometry: themes coming from Algebraic Geometry: algebraic surfaces, linear systems, Cox rings, Calabi-Yau varieties.
Logic and Number Theory: algebraic extensions of Q of infinite degree, diophantine geometry, modular arithmetic, decidability problems for classical structures with relation to Number Theory.
