The typical amount of teaching is 119 hours per year. The starting salary is fixed according to academic evaluation (usually in between 29.000 and 37.000 euros per year, after taxes). The university offers startup funding to support the candidate’s research during the first year of tenure-track.
Additionally, most funding projects existing in Chile also provide extra salary for academics and incentives can also be obtained by publishing articles in indexed journals and by excellence in teaching.
