The conference will bring together senior, mid-career and junior researchers in the field to discuss open questions, new developments and future directions. The conference will provide a stimulating setting for the interaction between the three groups of researchers, particularly well suited for reviewing the developments in the field over the last couple of decades, considering old open problems, and discussing new approaches. As part of the conference we also celebrate the work of Ron Fintushel and Ron Stern which has been very influential in the development of the field, on the occasion of their 70th birthday.
